900 boxes of RUTF arrived in Democratic Republic of Congo this week!.  This is the 17th shipping container for Ready-to-Use Therapeutic Food (RUTF) that we have shipped to malnourished children in Africa.

Quick Facts:

  • Some 6.3 million people here in Democratic Republic of Congo are food-insecure and half of the children under five years are chronically malnourished.
  • A survey conducted in 2013 showed that, in North Kivu, six people out of ten people are food- insecure, as against three out of ten two years ago.
  • Global Acute Malnutrition Rating (GAM):  11%
